Morning: Amer Fort โ approach by jeep or on foot (please avoid elephant rides for welfare). Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), Ganesh Pol, Sukh Niwas. City Palace complex in Old City with Mubarak Mahal and the two huge silver urns (Guinness World Record). Afternoon: Jaigarh Fort for the Jaivana cannon, Nahargarh Fort for sunset and Jaipur skyline.
Drive 2.5 hrs to Pushkar. Visit the Brahma Temple (one of very few dedicated to Brahma) and circle the 52 ghats of the holy lake. Lunch at a rooftop cafe. Afternoon drive 4 hrs to Jodhpur. Check into a Blue City heritage hotel. Sunset from the rooftop overlooking Mehrangarh Fort.
Morning: full Mehrangarh Fort visit โ Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, royal armoury. Audio guide highly recommended. Optional Flying Fox zipline. Afternoon: Jaswant Thada marble cenotaph, Clock Tower bazaars (spice shops, tie-dye, lac bangles). Evening: laal maas dinner at a rooftop.
Drive 5 hrs west to Jaisalmer (in the Thar desert). Check into a haveli hotel. Afternoon: walk inside the Sonar Quila (the only living fort in India where 3,000+ people still reside), Jain temples within the fort, Patwon ki Haveli (5 merchant mansions joined).
Morning: Gadisar Lake at sunrise, Nathmal ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli. Afternoon: drive 40 km to Sam Sand Dunes. Camel ride at the dunes, Rajasthani folk music around a bonfire, traditional dinner in a dune camp, overnight in a luxury tent with attached bathrooms.
Drive 8 hrs (long but scenic through Jodhpur, Pali) or take a short flight. Arrive Udaipur evening. Check into a lakeside hotel. Sundowner on the Lake Pichola boardwalk with views of Jag Niwas (Taj Lake Palace) glowing on the water.
Morning: City Palace โ Mor Chowk (Peacock Courtyard), Zenana Mahal, Crystal Gallery. Saheliyon ki Bari fountain garden. Afternoon: Lake Pichola boat ride with Jagmandir Island stop. Evening: Bagore Ki Haveli folk dance. Next morning flight out from Udaipur (UDR) or drive back to Delhi/Mumbai.
